Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an independent organization formed under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Indian Government. FSSAI came into existence on 5th August 2011 and its headquarters is situated in New Delhi. FSSAI authority has six regional offices. The FSSAI license registration number is a 14-digit number that is printed on the label of the food items.
